Overview

Custom fields let you attach your own data to contact and company records, on top of the standard fields RevyOps ships with. You manage them from the Custom Fields list on a contacts or companies view. The list groups fields into three sections:
Calculated fields were previously labeled “Computed fields.” RevyOps fills these in automatically and they cannot be edited.

Field Types

When you create or edit a custom field, you choose a type:

Adding a Custom Field

From the Custom Fields list, add a new field, give it a name, and choose its type. If you choose a dropdown type, add at least one option before saving. For Dropdown (single select) and Dropdown (multi select) fields, you manage a list of options:
  • Add an option with Add option.
  • Remove an option using the remove control next to it.
You must have at least one option for a dropdown field to be saved. When editing an existing field, changing its options is tracked separately from changing its name or type, so RevyOps only applies the parts you actually changed.

Renaming, Retyping, and Deleting

Each custom field row has actions to rename it, change its type and options, or delete it. Editing a field lets you update its name, type, and options together. Deleting a custom field requires typing DELETE to confirm.
Standard fields and calculated fields cannot be edited or deleted.

Field Source

Each custom field row shows where it came from:
  • Agency, when the field is part of your agency’s master schema.
  • The email of the user who created it, when a Client Admin added it directly on their client.
