# Filters and Saved Views

> Filter your contact and company lists, and save the filters you use often.

## Overview

Filters let you narrow a contacts or companies list down to the records you care about. Each filter has a column, an operator, and a value.

## Building a Filter

For each filter, you choose:

* A **column** to filter on.
* An **operator**, appropriate to the column's type (for example, date columns get date-specific operators).
* A **value** to compare against.

You can reorder filters, edit them, or remove them. If a filter references a column that isn't allowed in the current view, RevyOps shows it dimmed with a note that filtering by that field isn't allowed there, and the filter is skipped.

<Note>
  If the server rejects a filter, RevyOps shows the server's error message inline so you know what to fix.
</Note>

### AND / OR Logic

Between any two filters you can choose **AND** or **OR**. Consecutive filters joined by AND are grouped together, and each group is joined to the next by OR, so you can build conditions like "(Title contains VP AND Company Size > 50) OR (Title contains Director)."

## Filtering Companies by Contact Attributes

On the companies list, a filter on a contact-level field (rather than a company field) gets an extra quantifier: **any contact** or **no contact**. This lets you filter companies by whether any of their contacts match the condition, or by whether none of their contacts do.

## Saved Views

The **Saved Views** page lists every saved view in the workspace. From here you can search views by name, and filter the list by:

| Filter         | What it matches                                                                                                                                      |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Type** | Which list the view belongs to: Contacts, Companies, People, Master List, Master Companies, Email Report, or LinkedIn Report. |
| **Created by** | Who created the view. |
| **Sharing** | Who can see it (Audience: only you, all admins, all users) and which clients it applies to (Scope: only this client, all clients, multiple clients). |
| **Trigger** | Whether the view's sync is on or off (not shown for agency admins). |

Each saved view shows its name, type, description, filter criteria, sharing, creator, and last updated time.

### Recommended Views

From the Saved Views page you can add RevyOps's recommended saved views to your workspace with **Add Recommended Views**, so you don't have to build common views from scratch.

Clicking it opens a confirmation dialog that lists exactly which views will be added, each with a short description, before anything is created. The button reads "Add \[N] views." Views you already have (matched by name) are left out of the list. If there's nothing left to add, the dialog tells you so instead of showing a button to click. After you confirm, a toast reports how many views were actually added.

### Empty State

If your workspace has no saved views yet, the page shows a panel with the **Add Recommended Views** action. If you have saved views but your search or filters don't match any, the page shows a "no results" state instead.
